I wandered into Prague’s New Stage Theatre almost by chance—a shimmering glass cube from the late communist era. Its futuristic façade and bold interiors feel like a time capsule from a modernist dream that never quite faded.

DBK Prague, opened in 1981 by architect Věra Machoninová, once showcased a visionary interior and bold Atmofix steel façade. Though renovations erased much of its original design, its striking exterior and iconic escalators still echo late-modernist ambition.
